We have a large pear tree on the farm where I live in Australia and during our recent autumn the colors of the leaves were stunning. Decided to use them with a bright little corella pear to paint this small still life to add to my daily paintings collection. SOLD
About Margaret Stockdale
I am an Australian artist. I live on a farm near Krambach, on the mid north coast of New South Wales, with my husband Kevin, surrounded by beautiful scenery in a very quiet environment. I am passionate about fine art, and have been painting and drawing seriously since 1995. I have won many art awards during that time. I have portrayed different subjects over those years including landscapes, still life and portraits. Much of my work includes horses and cattle reflecting my interest in the rural way of life. Kevin and I spent many years on the professional rodeo circuit in Australia, where Kevin was a national Bareback Riding Champion. We also spent a year in the USA.
